Who thinks this sounds like a good feature article about school uniforms?

To wear uniforms or not to wear uniforms. This has been the question on everybody’s mind for the past few years.

The principal of Jefferson County Virtual School, Ms. Ruth Jerral, says “Uniforms were established across the country because of violence. It is a safety issue.” According to www.ezinearticles.com parents say that uniforms stop a lot of arguments about who has the latest fashions.

Do They Really Cause Less Violence???

Ms. Ruth Jerral of Jefferson County Virtual School says that she believes that they do not cause less violence. However, they do separate the outsiders of the school from the student that are inside of the school. For example if there were a stranger in the school building then anyone that was on the staff or any student would automaticly have known that they were not attendees of the school.

Are Uniforms Stopping Individuality???

One of the biggest arguments against school uniforms is that students would loose their sense od individuality. However, according to http://www.clt.astate.edu/composition/pa… some say that it will improve students individuallity because they will have to express themselves through their personallity and their attitude rather than a pair of expensive jeans or a certain brand name of shoes. Not only will students improve their individuallity but it will also improve their self-esteem as well because that they will not fell as pressured to dress a certain way.
