The easiest way to see which to pick was to browse online. After seeing a consistent number of the same style (just like my sister’s), I was surprised to see something more light and fashionable for a change. What surprised me even more is that they were made by Skechers. I quickly scanned reviews and was pleased. I saw that it was similar to a Mary Jane shoe but made in such a way that it could be used for long walks and casual affairs. I was pretty sure that my sister would like them too.

My sister immediately knew that those were shoes underneath the gift-wrapped box that I handed her. What she didn’t know is that she’d open it and have some variety with her Skechers collection. As expected, she was truly ecstatic. Rather than just being limited to wearing jeans, my sister uses these new Mary Jane-like sneakers with skirts and even dresses. I find her wearing that pair more often than any other, without any complaints regarding discomfort. She had found these shoes as a new favorite and I’m very glad for that. The Kangaroos brand began in 1979 when an avid runner named Bob Gamm decided he needed a place to store his house key and a small amount of money while he went out for his daily run. Even during these tough times Gamm remained dedicated to making Kangaroos synonymous with serious athletic footwear and worked on developing his shoes in a testing facility located at the University of Illinois. During this time he was able to refine his shoes for use in many different sports including basketball, tennis, track, and American football.

Now Kangaroos shoes are more known for their role in fashion and lifestyle footwear rather than serious performance sports. Today they are sold in over sixty countries around the world.
